Your data and privacy
This article explains what information MyReviewz™ collects about your business, where review data comes from, and what happens to your data if you deactivate or delete your account.
What we collect about your business
When you set up your account, you give us:
- Your business name, website, address, and category
- Your email address (and mobile number, if you turn on text alerts)
- The email addresses of any team members you invite
We use this to run your account, find your business on review sites, and send you the alerts you've asked for. We don't sell it.
Where your review data comes from
MyReviewz™ collects reviews from public review sites — Google, and where it applies to your type of business, Tripadvisor and Trustpilot.
A few things worth knowing:
- We only see what anyone can see. We don't have special access to these sites. If a review is visible on Google to the public, we can see it. If it isn't, we can't.
- We don't change anything on those sites. MyReviewz™ reads reviews; it doesn't post, edit, or remove them on your behalf.
- Reviews stay where they live. Your Google reviews are Google's. Deleting your MyReviewz™ account doesn't touch them.
You choose which sites we monitor during setup. Google is always included; Tripadvisor and Trustpilot are optional.
Concerns (Rezolv™) are private
When a customer uses your QR code to send you a concern through Rezolv™, that message goes only to you and your team. It is never posted publicly, never shared with a review site, and never shown to other customers.
Customers decide how much to tell you about themselves. They can leave an email address, a phone number, or nothing at all. If they choose to stay anonymous, you'll get the concern but no way to contact them — that's their call, and we respect it.
Survey responses (Surveyz™) go only to you
Answers customers give through Surveyz™ are delivered to your business and nowhere else. They're not published, and they're not shared with review sites.
Replies you write
MyReviewz™ never posts anything to Google, Tripadvisor, or Trustpilot for you. We don't have — and don't ask for — the ability to write to those sites. We only read the pages anyone can see.
So when you respond to a review with MyReviewz™, here's how it actually works:
- MyReviewz™ drafts a suggested reply for you.
- You read it and change anything you like — or write your own from scratch.
- You copy the finished reply and post it yourself, directly on the review site, signed in to your own business account there.
Your reply is public once you post it, because the review it answers is public. Later, as part of its normal monitoring, MyReviewz™ checks the review site to see whether your reply actually appears there. That's how we keep our own records honest — a review is marked as answered because we saw the answer, not just because a draft was written.
AI-drafted replies and your data
MyReviewz™ can draft a reply to a review for you. To do that, we send four things to the AI service that writes the draft: the review's text, its star rating, which review site it came from, and your business's name. Nothing is ever posted anywhere as a result — you see the draft, and you decide what to do with it.
The AI model is Claude, made by Anthropic. MyReviewz™ works with Anthropic under its own business agreement — your review text isn't being typed into a public consumer chatbot. What's sent for drafting is handled under that agreement with our AI provider.
Who on your team sees what
Anyone you invite to your team can see your reviews, concerns, and survey responses. Only the account owner can manage billing, deactivate the account, or delete it.
What happens to your data when you leave
There are two ways to leave, and they treat your data very differently:
- Deactivate — everything is kept. Your reviews, concerns, surveys, and team stay exactly as they were, and they're all there when you reactivate.
- Delete — everything is permanently erased after a short hold of about a week. Your login is removed right away. This can't be undone.
For the step-by-step on each, see Deactivating or deleting your account.
