Having trouble leaving your feedback?

The following sections explain how to resolve common problems when submitting feedback.

The QR code won't scan

  • Use your phone's normal camera. Point it at the code and wait a second. A link pops up — tap it. No special app needed.
  • Hold still, and give it room. Keep the whole code in view, a few inches back. More light helps.
  • Type it instead. If a web address is printed near the code, you can type it into your browser.

The page won't load

  • Check your signal. Spotty Wi-Fi? Try mobile data, or the other way around.
  • Refresh. One reload fixes most hiccups.
  • Wait a minute and try again.

If the page does load but shows a message, here's what each one means:

  • "This code isn't active" — the code or link is out of date. Ask the business for a current one.
  • "Something went wrong" — a brief glitch on our end. Try again in a moment.
  • "MyReviewz™ is briefly paused for maintenance" — we're doing a quick tune-up. Check back shortly.

I don't know what to write

You don't have to write a review — that's the point of the help.

  1. Tap Help me write it with AI.
  2. You'll see a few topics that fit this kind of business (for a restaurant, things like food or service), plus Something else.
  3. Tap a topic and jot a thought. Fragments are fine — "fast, friendly, great coffee" is plenty. Tap Save this note.
  4. Add another topic if you like, or tap I'm done — write my review.

If you've left some topics empty, the page will check: Ready to write your review? Tap Add more first to keep going, or Yes, write it.

A moment later your review appears, ready to read and edit.

Prefer your own words? Tap I'll write it myself and the page takes you straight to the business's review page.

I made a mistake in my notes

Before the review is written: tap the topic again to reopen your note and change it.

After the review is written: you have two options.

  • Just edit the review. The finished review is a text box — tap anywhere in it and type. Fix a word, cut a sentence, add something. This is the fastest way.
  • Go back and rewrite. Tap the back arrow. You'll see Rewrite your review? Tap Go back & rewrite. Your notes are still there — fix them, then tap I'm done — write my review again for a fresh draft.

You get two AI drafts per visit. After the second one, the back arrow will tell you the review can't be generated again — but you can still edit the text directly right up until you post it.

One caution: if you go back to the very first screen after a draft has been written, the page will ask Leave without your review? Choosing Discard & leave erases both the draft and your notes.

The review didn't generate

If you see Network error or Something went wrong, it didn't count against your two drafts. Check your signal and tap I'm done — write my review again.

I tapped the button but nothing pasted

The Copy review & open … button copies your review and opens the review site in a new tab, all at once.

If the paste comes up empty, switch back to the MyReviewz tab — your review is still right there. Press and hold inside the review box, select all, copy, then go back to the review site and paste.

It opened the wrong site

If the business is on more than one review site, look for Where would you like to post it? above the button and tap the site you want before tapping the button.

Google opened, but I don't see where to write

Usually Google opens its "write a review" box directly. Occasionally it opens a search results page for the business instead — find the business listing and tap Write a review there. You'll choose your star rating on Google itself.

My private concern won't send

  • You need to pick at least one concern type on the first step.
  • The description is optional, up to 500 characters.
  • If you chose Contact me by email or by phone, the page needs your name plus a working email address or phone number. If you'd rather not share those, choose Don't contact me instead — your concern still goes through.

The survey

  • Questions marked optional have a Skip button.
  • The back arrow takes you to the previous question.
  • Not interested? No thanks closes it. No hard feelings.

Still stuck?

Email help@myreviewz.app. Tell us the name of the business and what you saw on screen, and we'll sort it out.

One thing we can't do: post a review for you, or change one you've already posted. Your review lives on Google, Tripadvisor, or Trustpilot — any edits happen there.
