Team members — inviting, removing, and what the owner does
Team members can respond to reviews, monitor Rezolv™ messages, and choose their own alert preferences. This article explains account limits, how to add and remove team members, and the permissions assigned to the owner and teammate roles.
How many people can be on the account?
| Plan | People who can sign in |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 (just you) |
| Any paid plan | 5 |
The limit is the same 5 on every paid plan. It doesn't matter whether you have Reviewz™ on its own, Reviewz™ plus one add-on, or the full Complete bundle; adding Rezolv™ or Surveyz™ doesn't add seats, and you don't lose seats by dropping one.
The owner counts as one of the five. On the Team page you'll see a running tally, such as "You've added 3 of 5 people your plan allows." If you try to invite a sixth person, you'll see "You've used all the seats on your plan." Remove someone first, then invite.
Inviting a teammate
Only the owner can add people.
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Tap Add a team member.
- Enter their email address and tap Send invite.
They'll get an email inviting them to join your business on MyReviewz. They create their own login from that email; you never need to share your password. Until they accept, they appear under Invited, but haven't joined yet, with a Cancel invite button if you change your mind or sent it to the wrong address.
Invite people who should actually see and act on customer feedback. A teammate can do everything you can in the day-to-day app: read reviews, draft and post replies, handle Rezolv™ messages, review survey results, and set their own alerts.
The two roles: owner and teammate
MyReviewz keeps this simple. There are only two kinds of people on an account:
- Owner — the person who created the account. There's exactly one. The Team page marks them with a small crown and the label "Owner · can do everything."
- Teammates — everyone else. The app labels them "Manager · can do everything except manage the team and billing."
That description is the whole difference. Teammates use every feature of the product. The owner, and only the owner, can also:
- invite and remove people, and cancel pending invites
- see the full team roster (a teammate sees only their own card)
- change a teammate's alert settings to Off or Email (never Text; that's personal)
- manage the subscription and billing
- hand ownership to someone else
Removing someone
Only the owner can remove a teammate.
- Go to Settings → Team.
- On that person's card, tap the ⋮ menu and choose Remove from team.
- Confirm with Remove.
They lose access to the business immediately. Nothing they did is undone: replies they posted stay posted and messages they handled stay handled. If you need them back later, just send a new invite.
You can't remove the owner. If the owner is leaving, transfer ownership first (below) and then the new owner can remove the old one.
Handing over ownership
If you're selling the business, retiring, or just want your general manager to run the account, you can make a teammate the owner.
- On Settings → Team, open the ⋮ menu on their card.
- Choose Make them the owner and confirm.
Two things to know before you do:
- You stay on the team, but as a regular teammate. You'll lose the owner-only abilities listed above, including billing.
- Only the new owner can hand it back. There's no undo on your side, so be sure.
Everyone sets their own alerts
Each person's card on the Team page has its own Notification preferences: Off, Email, or Text for each of Reviewz™, Rezolv™, and Surveyz™. New teammates should take a minute to set these when they join, so alerts reach the person who'll actually respond. Full details are in Alert settings.
Common questions
Can I have more than 5 people? Not at the moment. Five is the limit on every paid plan.
I'm on the Free plan. Can I invite anyone? No. The Free plan is a single login. Any paid plan opens up the other four seats.
A teammate says they can't see the Team page. They can, but it looks different: teammates see only their own card and alert settings, not the rest of the roster. That's by design.
Does a pending invite use up a seat? The tally on the Team page counts people who have actually joined. If you're at your seat limit, remove an inactive teammate or wait for a pending invitation to be accepted or declined before sending a new one.
