Replying to reviews (and letting AI draft the first version)
Reviewz™ identifies reviews that need a response, prepares a draft reply, and provides the completed text for you to post. The process is designed to take about two minutes.
MyReviewz™ never posts a reply on your behalf. You review and edit each draft, then paste and post it yourself on Google, Tripadvisor, or Trustpilot. The AI only prepares the initial draft.
Where to find your reviews
Open Reviewz™ from the menu. You'll see your reviews from every site we monitor for you, newest first. Each one is tagged either Needs response or Responded, so the list doubles as a to-do list. There's a filter to show only the ones still waiting on you.
Your dashboard also points to reviews that could use attention. Tapping Draft a reply there takes you straight to that review with a draft already started.
Replying with an AI-drafted suggestion
- On any review marked Needs response, tap Respond.
- In a few seconds you'll see an AI-drafted reply. It's written from the actual review: what the customer praised or complained about, the star rating, and your business's name.
- Read it and make it yours. Edit anything in the box. Add the customer's name if you know it, mention how you've fixed the issue, soften or warm up the tone. Your edits save automatically as you type.
- Tap Copy reply & open Google (or Tripadvisor, or Trustpilot). This copies your reply and opens the review on that site in a new tab.
- On the review site, paste your reply into their reply box and post it there.
- Come back to MyReviewz and answer Did you post your reply? with Yes, I posted it. The review flips to Responded.
That's it. If you get interrupted, tap Close. Your draft is saved, and next time the button on that review reads View your draft so you can pick up where you left off.
A word about the AI
The draft is a starting point, not a finished product. Under every draft you'll see the reminder "AI can make mistakes — edit this so it sounds like you." We mean it. The AI doesn't know your staff, your policies, or what actually happened that night, so check anything that sounds like a promise or a fact before you post it. A reply that sounds like the owner wrote it will always land better than one that sounds like a robot did.
Replying without the AI
You don't have to use the draft. Tap View on any review to open it directly on the review site and reply the way you always have. When you're done, come back and mark it responded so your list stays accurate.
What "Responded" means
A review counts as responded in two ways:
- You told us. When you tap Yes, I posted it, we mark it immediately. If you tapped it by mistake, there's an Undo button on that review.
- We saw your reply. As we keep checking your review sites, we'll notice when your reply appears publicly. Once we do, the review shows This is your published reply with the exact text that's live. That mark can't be undone, because it's reflecting what's really on the site.
Until we've seen your public reply, the review shows the draft you created as the record of what you posted. If you later need to change the wording, edit the reply on the review site itself; we'll pick up the new version.
Is this included in my plan?
Yes. AI-drafted replies are part of Reviewz™, which is included with every paid MyReviewz subscription. There's no higher plan to buy for this feature. If you're on the free plan, you can still see your reviews, but drafting is switched off; you'll see a note reading AI reply drafting is included with Reviewz™ with a link to get started.
Tips for better replies
- Reply to the good ones too. A quick thank-you on a five-star review shows future customers that someone is paying attention.
- Keep it short. Two or three sentences is plenty. The AI drafts are sized that way on purpose.
- Never argue in public. For a harsh review, thank them, acknowledge the issue, and invite them to reach you directly. The draft will usually lean this way; keep it there.
- Watch your alerts. If you'd like a nudge when a new review needs a response, see Alert settings.
