How MyReviewz™ monitors your reviews
MyReviewz™ automatically checks supported review sites for new reviews. The following sections explain which sites are monitored, how often checks occur, and where new reviews appear.
Which sites we watch
- Google — always. Every business on MyReviewz™ is monitored on Google. It's where the overwhelming majority of local reviews happen, so it's built in and can't be switched off.
- Tripadvisor — if your type of business is one Tripadvisor lists (restaurants, hotels, tours, attractions, and the like) and you've told us you're on there. You turn this on in Settings. If we can't find your listing on our own, you can paste in the link to your Tripadvisor page and we'll use that.
- Trustpilot — same idea: if your type of business appears on Trustpilot, you've opted in, and we have your website address (Trustpilot organizes businesses by website).
Tripadvisor and Trustpilot are part of Reviewz™ — you don't pay extra for them. You simply switch them on if they apply to you.
What happens when you first sign up
The first check is a deep one. We pull in up to a year of your review history so your dashboard has a real picture from day one — your rating, your trend, and any recent reviews still waiting on a reply. For most businesses this takes a few minutes; a business with thousands of reviews can take longer. You'll get an email the moment it's ready.
That first batch of history doesn't trigger alerts — a year of old reviews isn't "news." Alerts start with the reviews that arrive after that.
How often we check
After the first deep check, MyReviewz™ keeps an eye on each site with quick, regular check-ins. Each time, we look at whether anything has changed — new reviews, or a reply of yours that has now shown up — and bring in whatever is new.
How often depends on your business, not on your plan. The schedule adapts to your own review volume:
- A busy business getting a steady stream of reviews is checked more often — up to a few times a day.
- A quieter business is checked about once a day.
- If your pace picks up, we speed up automatically. If things slow down, we ease back. You never have to adjust anything.
Every business with an active subscription gets this same adaptive monitoring. There's no "basic" or "premium" schedule.
If a big burst of reviews arrives all at once — more than a quick check-in can catch — we automatically run a deeper check so nothing slips through the gap.
Where your reviews show up
Everything we find lands on your dashboard: your current rating and trend, new-review counts, your response rate, and a Needs your attention list of reviews awaiting a reply — each with an AI-drafted reply you can edit and post. If someone on your team is set to receive review alerts (Settings → Team), they'll be notified when new reviews come in.
Without an active subscription
If your 30-day free trial has ended and you haven't subscribed, or you've cancelled, monitoring doesn't run — Google, Tripadvisor, and Trustpilot checks and your weekly insights all stop. Your QR code keeps working and your dashboard is still there, but nothing new is being tracked.
Subscribing to Reviewz™ turns everything back on right away — no waiting for the next scheduled check.
Something look off?
If a review you know exists isn't showing up, or your rating doesn't match what you see on Google, give it a day for the next check to land. If it still looks wrong, email help@myreviewz.app with your business name and the review site, and we'll take a look.
